Albeins / Albes

Albes/Albeins near Brixen in South Tyrol - the village is part of the holiday region Valle Isarco/Eisacktal and is only a few kilometres away from the city of Bressanone/Brixen. Albes/Albeins is a small, idyllic village with a centre that is worth seeing and is partly heritage-protected. It is assumed that the village was already inhabited in the Bronze Age.

Mild climate

Spring starts earlier in Albes/Albeins and autumn usually ends a little later than in the rest of the Valle Isarco/Eisacktal. This is because Albes/Albeins is pampered with a lot of sun, and the neighboring Musberg mountain protects the village from cold northern winds.

Numerous foot and cycle paths invite you to explore the region: the beautiful bishop's town of Bressanone/Brixen is only five kilometres away and also Albes/Albeins itself with its small alleys is very worth seeing.

The Plose, the local mountain of Bressanone/Brixen, offers numerous hiking opportunities in summer. This so-called "lookout mountain" will spoil you with a wonderful panorama of the Dolomites, the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In winter, skiers and snowboarders can let off steam on many kilometres of slopes.
