Toblach / Dobbiaco

At the entrance of the Val di Landro/Höhlensteintal lies the village of Dobbiaco/Toblach in Alta Pusteria, in the heart of the Dolomites' UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area around the village in the Three Peaks region is ideal for hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Gateway to the Dolomites

With two lakes at once, the Lake Dobbiaco and the Lake Landro, the summer in Dobbiaco/Toblach is particularly enjoyable. Hikers, bikers and climbers are spoilt for choice: Dobbiaco/Toblach borders the Three Peaks Nature Park on one side and the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park on the other.

Lovers of classical music will get their money's worth at the Gustav Mahler Music Weeks. Another highlight is the Dolomiti Balloon Festival in Dobbiaco/Toblach which takes place every year.

The "Nordic Arena" cross-country centre in Dobbiaco/Toblach has a lot to offer Nordic winter sports enthusiasts. Every year in January the cross-country world cup with the Tour de Ski takes place here.

The ski region Sesto Dolomites - Alta Pusteria lies around Dobbiaco/Toblach and includes 7 ski areas with approx. 77 km of ski slopes.
