Völs am Schlern / Fiè allo Sciliar

The sunny and mild health resort of Fiè/Völs lies directly below the mighty Sciliar/Schlern massif and is part of the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm holiday region. The pretty village is located only a few kilometres from the provincial capital city of Bolzano and offers visitors a dreamlike view on the Catinaccio/Rosengarten and the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm.

Just a few kilometres from the village centre there is one of the cleanest mountain lakes in Italy, the Pond of Fiè. This idyllic alpine lake is particularly impressive thanks to its imposing mountain scenery and is an ideal starting point for wonderful mountain tours. On hot summer days, the Pond of Fiè is the place to be for bathing fun.

Furthermore, in winter the pond invites you to go ice-skating. It is also the final station of a 2.4 km long toboggan run that starts at the Tuffalm, South Tyrol’s most beautiful alpine hut.

After just a few kilometres from Fiè/Völs you can reach the skiing and hiking paradise Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm, where you can enjoy many activities. In summer, Europe's largest high plateau offers guided cycling and hiking tours, surrounded by traditional mountain huts offering delicious regional specialities.

In winter, with 175 km of ski runs, toboggan runs, cross-country ski runs and snowshoe hikes' paths, the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm satisfies every wish.
