Geiselsberg / Sorafurcia
Hiking in the midst of the beautiful Dolomite mountains or skiing directly at the Plan de Corones/Kronplatz, the ski area number 1 in South Tyrol: this is exactly what the small village of Sorafurcia/Geiselsberg in South Tyrol has to offer.
Sorafurcia/Geiselsberg is a fraction of Valdaora/Olang, at an altitude of 1,344 metres, and offers a fantastic view of the Val Pusteria/Pustertal. The small village lies directly on the Plan de Corones/Kronplatz hiking and skiing paradise and is therefore very popular with many vacationers.
Fun in the summer and in the winter
Countless hiking possibilities: this village of 400 inhabitants is the ideal starting point for many hiking tours in the Dolomites. From here you can enjoy a nice hike to the Rifugio Prackenhütte, to the Col Valacia/Flatschkofel or a hiking tour above Valdaora/Olang. From Sorafurcia/Geiselsberg you can also reach the Passo Furcia/Furkelpass by mountain bike.
In winter, the village is flourishing. After all, Sorafurcia/Geiselsberg is located at the foot of the Plan de Corones/Kronplatz! Thanks to its many modern lifts and 119 kilometres of slopes, winter sports enthusiasts can find everything they need here! The view from the top is already unique and truly memorable!
