Lappach / Lappago
The small village of Lappago/Lappach in the Valle Aurina/Ahrntal lies in the Valle dei Molini/Mühlwaldertal at an altitude of 1,436 metres and is surrounded by the majestic Zillertal Alps. Therefore it offers the ideal conditions for extensive mountain and hiking tours.
On three-thousand metre peaks
Every year in the summer months many experienced mountaineers come to the valley. Besides the Zillertal Alps, there are also other three thousand meter peaks that can be climbed from here, such as the Gran Pilastro/Hochpfeiler (3,510 meters), the Cima di Campo/Turnerkamp (3,420 meters) or the Punta Bianca/Hoher Weißzint (3,371 meters).
If you prefer not to go that high, there are plenty of easier trails and tours to be found in the valley. A popular destination for families is the Lago di Neves/Lappacher Stausee, a reservoir located at the end of the valley, which can be walked around following a theme trail.
Snowy Valle Aurina/Ahrntal
