Latzfons / Lazfons

The village of Lazfons/Latzfons is situated at an altitude of 1,160 metres on a sunny southern slope near Chiusa/Klausen. The village belongs to the Valle Isarco/Eisacktal holiday region and here you can choose between many possibilities: do you prefer to do an excursion to the nearby artist town of Chiusa/Klausen or to the popular Rifugio Croce di Lazfons? There' s a lot to discover!

Lazfons/Latzfons is a popular hiking destination. A walk in the nice village centre and in the surrounding alpine meadows and valleys is highly recommended.

If you want to go higher, you can choose between a short or a multi-day tour. Hikes in the nearby Dolomites, to the Sarentino Alps and the Sciliar region are very beloved. A highlight is certainly the famous Rifugio Croce di Lazfons in the Sarntal Alps. At 2,296 meters, next to a little hut, there is a beautiful church, which is considered one of the highest pilgrimage sites in Europe.

Near Lazfons/Latzfons there are many trails which are also ideal for mountain bikers and in winter you have the possibility to toboggan, hike and of course touring on skis.
