Meransen / Maranza

Maranza/Meransen is located in the holiday region Giogo/Joch Valley - Gitschberg/Cuzzo in the Valle Isarco/Eisacktal and offers a breathtaking view over the mountains from the beautiful panorama terrace at an altitude of 1,414 metres. This small, dreamy village lies at the gateway to the Val Pusteria/Pustertal and is very popular with all nature lovers.

In summer you can take many easy but also more challenging hikes starting from Maranza/Meransen. We recommend an excursion to the Valley Altfasstal, a rustic alp valley nearby. Next to the Kneipp parcour, mountain huts and restaurants invite you to relax after hiking. The ideal place to enjoy the tranquility surrounded by an idyllic landscape.

In winter, skiers and snowboarders can let off steam in the Gitschberg-Jochtal skiing resort with 51 km of snow-covered slopes. Beginners can also take part in ski courses.

Near Maranza/Meransen there is the medieval town of Rio di Pusteria/Mühlbach and the well-known city of Bressanone/Brixen where you can enjoy an aperitif after an exciting day in nature.
