Natz-Schabs / Naz-Sciaves

Naz-Sciaves/Natz-Schabs, located on a sun-drenched Alpine high-altitude plateau famed for the cultivation of apples, comprises the five villages of Sciaves/Schabs, Naz/Natz, Aica/Aicha, Rasa/Raas and Fiumes/Viums and is located very close to the city of Brixen in the Valle Isarco/Eisacktal. Naz-Sciaves/Natz-Schabs is one of the most famous apple growing areas in South Tyrol. But also well-known white wine grapes are cultivated here, like Müller Thurgau or Sylvaner.

White-pink flowers as far as the eye can see: Spring is particularly beautiful in Naz-Sciaves/Natz-Schabs when all the apple trees are in bloom. In summer it is worthwhile to hike to the Dolomites and in autumn it is unique to stroll through the area between the colourful leaves and the ripe apples.

In winter, however, you are spoilt for choice between the three ski resorts of Gitschberg, Jochtal and Plose - all three are in the immediate proximity of the village in the Valle Isarco/Eisacktal. A ski bus takes you to the desired ski resort.

Not far from Naz-Sciaves/Natz-Schabs there is the beautiful city of Bressanone/Brixen, with its medieval alleys and many sights! A detour there is definitely worthwhile!

A little tip: Every year in October in Naz-Sciaves/Natz-Schabs the Apple Festival takes place, with a colourful programme for young and old!
