Obereggen
The small mountain village of Obereggen lies at the foot of the Latemar and is a real hiking and skiing paradise for all sports enthusiasts. Surrounded by larches, spruces, green mountain meadows and mighty mountain peaks, Obereggen offers a very special nature experience. Numerous hikes, mountain bike tours and via ferratas await you in the UNESCO World Heritage Site!

With the lift directly in the village, which is also working in summer, you can reach an airy altitude in just a few minutes. Here you will find a total of 530 km of signposted hiking trails, some of which are child-friendly.
In the winter months, the Obereggen ski area guarantees fun on the slopes for the whole family. Here you have 18 lifts, 2 toboggan runs, 2 children's lands, a snow park and a ski and snowboard school. The sun-drenched Latemar ski area is particularly family-friendly and hosts numerous traditional mountain huts, which invite you to stop by with South Tyrolean hospitality and typical local dishes.
Another highlight near Obereggen is the Observatory Max Valier in San VAlentino in Campo/Gummer, which is only 15 minutes away by car. It is the first and only planetarium in South Tyrol and offers entertainment for young and old!
