Ridnaun / Ridanna

Surrounded by a beautiful mountain landscape, in the middle of the Alps, the Val Ridanna/Ridnauntal lies in the Valle Isarco/Eisacktal. It belongs to the municipality of Racines/Ratschings, which comprises the three valleys Val Ridanna/Ridnauntal, val Racines/Ratschingstal and Valgiovo/Jaufental. Whether hiking in summer, or skiing in winter, Ridanna/Ridnaun offers a variety of activities for everyone.

Starting point for hikes

Idyllic place for relaxation and tranquillity - this is the Val Ridanna/Ridnauntal with its 170 inhabitants. The ideal starting point numerous hiking possibilities: from easy, comfortable strolls to difficult and challenging excursions. Experienced hikers are attracted by the glaciers and the beautiful blue mountain lakes, and a tour to the Becherhaus is a warmly recommended. At 3,195 metres of height, this mountain hut is the highest-lying refuge in South Tyrol.

Winter paradise Ridanna/Ridnaun

White covered mountains and peaks and a romantic snow-covered winter landscape. In winter the valley offers many possibilities and is particularly ideal for all those who like cross-country skiing on holiday. The ski area Racines-Giovo/Ratschings - Jaufen is also reachable from Ridanna/Ridnaun within a short time. There are also toboggan runs and ice rinks. Furthermore, a guided snowshoe hike through the valley will be an unforgettable experience.
