Schluderns / Sluderno

It can be seen from far away: Coira Castle, which rises above the village of Schluderns/Sluderno. The town is located at 921 m above sea level, at the border between the central and the upper Venosta Valley. Schluderns is surrounded by many meadows, a big biotope, and beautiful mountains!

An active holiday in Venosta Valley

The Venosta Valley is a true paradise for hikers! Starting from Schluderns, you have a variety of possibilities to explore the surrounding mountains. You can choose! Go for a walk on the family-friendly channel paths (Waalwege) or reach the peak of a higher mountain and enjoy the views.

Schluderns is also connected to the Venosta Valley cycling track and therefore, many cyclists come to this area every year.

In winter, multiple skiing areas are located near Schluderns. But also who wants to go for a hike with snowshoes or cross-country skiing can find a variety of trails in the middle of the beautiful, snowy landscape of the Venosta Valley.

Coira Castle in Schluderns

In addition to the many possibilities for leisure activities, you cannot miss a visit to the beautiful Coira Castel. The castle, including the famous collection of armaments, can be visited between April and October.
