St. Pauls / San Paolo

St. Pauls/San Paolo is part of the municipality of Eppan/Appiano and it is situated on the famous South Tyrolean wine street. A very special characteristic of St. Pauls is the historical town centre with its traditional house facades and bow windows. A highlight is the church of St. Pauls, called “Dome in the Countryside”, which was built in two different architectural styles: the steeple was built in the Gothic style, while the onion-shaped roof dates back to the period of Italian Baroque.

Discover St. Pauls

In the town centre, many events take place: the famous village festival is organized every two years, and there are also the “weeks of wine culture” and the “culinary table” of St. Pauls, where a long table is prepared in the streets of St. Pauls and the famous chef Herbert Hintner serves delicious meals.

In the surroundings of St. Pauls, you can go for beautiful hikes and walks, for example the popular castles hike or up to mount Gantkofel or a bike tour to the lakes of Montiggl.

During Christmas time, you can visit a stunning exhibition with over 100 mangers and a living nativity scene. For those who love winter sports, the skiing areas of Obereggen, Reinswald, and Seiser Alm with their perfectly prepared slopes are not far away.
