Taufers im Münstertal / Tubre
Tubre is the most western village of South Tyrol and rich in history. The historically marked locality is famous for the Battle of Calven and stretches from the Calven battlefield to the Swiss border. The peaceful atmosphere in the village surrounded by spectacular nature and landscapes is ideal for travelers who want to experience days of rest and relaxation and recharge their batteries.
In the footsteps of history
Archaeological discoveries show that the village was already settled in the Bronze Age. The architecture of the buildings is very interesting because they were built very close to the other houses in the Romanesque style. Other attractions of Tubre are St. Johann Church, Castle Rotund, and Schloss Reichenberg, built in the 9th century.
Experience Venosta Valley
From a sportive point of view, the valley has a lot to offer, and it is the best starting point for hiking fans: long or short tours, simple and difficult paths, there is something for everyone. And even in winter. In Tubre you can practice skiing in one of the various skiing areas, but you can also do other sports like ice skating or snowshoeing.
