Langtaufers / Vallelunga

Vallelunga/Langtaufers is the perfect place to enjoy nature in its original form. The village which consists of many farms is part of the municipality Curon in Venosta Valley and is characterized by larch woods and landscape cultivated by mountain farmers. Every year many visitors are fascinated by the view of the Ötztal Alps and the glaciers.

The side valley of the Venosta Valley reveals an impressive glacier world can be experienced on a glacier nature trail. The 80 km long cycling trail of the Venosta Valley which begins at Lake Reschen and ends in the spa town of Meran, is the ideal way to explore the area by bike. A trip to the sunken bell tower in Lake Reschen is also a must.

In the cold season, Vallelunga/Langtaufers is famous for cross-country skiing events and sled dog races. The 15 km long cross-country ski trail is also used for international competitions. In addition, the small skiing area Maseben in Langtaufers is ideal for hiking and skiing.

But there are also larger ski areas nearby, such as the Schöneben-Haideralm ski area on the Reschen Pass and the Nauders ski area. The 120 km of sunny slopes, cross-country ski trails, and snow parks in the surroundings provide plenty of variety.
