Vals / Valles

Together with Maranza/Meransen and Spinga/Spinges, Valles/Vals is part of the municipality of Rio di Pusteria/Mühlbach. The small village, with its 360 inhabitants, is the ideal starting point for all active holidaymakers: from hiking in summer to snow fun in winter. The surrounding beautiful mountain landscape offers something for everyone.

Between meadows, fields and mountain huts

Valles/Vals is one of the hiking areas in South Tyrol. Between green alpine meadows and hills you can discover many traditional mountain huts. A trip to the Malga Fane/Fane Alm, a beautiful alpine village with a fabulous view, is particularly recommended. Even more challenging mountain tours and exciting cycling paths for mountain bike lovers start from Valles/Vals.

Don't miss the end of the summer on the mountains. Every year there is a bis festival to celebrate the return of the shepherds with their sheep and cows.

The cold season in Valles/Vals

Tobogganing, skiing, cross-country skiing or hiking in the snow: with the Gitschberg and Jochtal ski areas nearby, winter sports fans will find everything their hearts desire. On the Malfa Fane/Fane Alm you can also toboggan comfortably.
